It's that time of the year again for our Summer Boot Camp classes.  Boot Camp consists of 5 days of intense training for kid's and embroiderers!  We will kick off boot camp first with the Kids boot Camp June 17-21, 10-1:00 Daily.  This is a great way to meet new friends and have a great time learning how to sew!  The projects this year will be fast and fun and easy for even the most novice of sewers!  Class size is limited for individual attention.  You are welcome to bring in your machine to sew or can use one of ours!  The boot camp fee is only $60. and we do provide snacks for the kids! 

     Embroidery Boot Camp will be June 24-28 from 9-12 daily.  Girls love the fact that they can leave their machines for the week-no carrying these beautiful, but heavy machines!  The projects are designed for every level of embroiderers!  Phone in early boot camp fills up quickly! Fee is only $70. and includes the designs and sparkles for the patriotic shirt!

     What a very busy summer we are having.  We just finished up with our Embroidery Boot Camp and our Kid's Boot Camp.  All the participates did a wonderful job with all their many projects.  Our goal was reached in that everyone completed the projects by Friday.  If you are not sure what Boot Camp is all about-it's simple, you report in on Monday, leave your machine till Friday and get lots of wonderful projects embroidered or sewn out.  Don't miss out on the next Boot Camp!

     Also, we got our new floor in (after 27 years of the old floor).  That was some work moving all the machines and cabinets, well worthy it though!

On a sad note:  We will not be at the Trumbull County Fair this year. It was a difficult decision, but the right one.  We will return next year!  Make sure you stop out and see all the wonderful quilts the girls made for our Purple Heart recipients.  There will be a wonderful ceremony to distribute the quilts on July 4th at 4:00, at the Bicentennial stage.  It was nice to be a part of this worthy project!

This has sure been a busy few weeks.  If you haven't been in or checked out our Facebook page, we are having a "Try Floriani" Sale.

The past few weeks have been so exciting at Domestic Sewing Center...

We first got our new line of stabilizers in, and are rethinking embroidery!

After a few weeks (They had to build the stand and we had NO idea it would be this big!) the new line of threads came in.  Many of you have asked, most of you have raved, and we listened... Our Floriani Polyester thread came in! Its shiny, strong, and the metallics are a dream!

We are also looking at our classes in a new way.  We want to expand on previously taught techniques and to bring you some really great ideas.  We could not be more excited.

Also to note, we had some new design packs come in from Anita Gooddesign. If you have visited us recently, you saw the wine designs.  Well, the pack is in.  This pack was fun and elegant and I really did not want the samples to stop!
